During a brainstorm dinner hosted by the Consul-General with representatives and CEO’s from Dutch companies, the idea was born to create a website with all Dutch companies in Australia, or with companies that sell Dutch products or expertise.
King Willem-Alexander has appointed Bert Koenders as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Mr Koenders was sworn in by the King at Noordeinde Palace on Friday 17 October 2014.

26 November 2014 The national commemoration of the flight MH17 disaster will take place on Monday 10 November in Amsterdam. The commemoration is accessible by invitation only. The persons invited are the surviving relatives of the victims and persons involved in the air crash.
26 November 2014 The current Netherlands Consulate in Melbourne will close its doors on the 1st of January 2015. This means that passport applications can no longer be submitted at this office in Market Street from the start of 2015. It is not yet known when a new honorary consul will be appointed for Melbourne. Please know that it will still be possible to submit passport applications in Melbourne on certain dates from January 2015.
