Lost passport?If your passport has been lost or stolen, you should contact the Netherlands representation in your region.
You must complete an application form (to be obtained from the Netherlands representation or download the application form and pay the necessary fee. Payment by cash, money order (obtainable from the post office) or bank cheque (no personal or company cheques can be accepted). If paying in cash please tender the exact amount.
You need to bring the following documents:
- proof that you have reported your passport missing with the police;
- 'Verklaring van vermissing'.
Personal passport information will be verified with the issuing office. An additional fee may be applicable. Only after this verification procedure is completed a new passport may be issued.
To establish the identity, additional ID's must be submitted, i.e. driver's licence or other documents such as copy of birth certificate, copy of old passport, etc.
Persons not residing in Australia may be issued with an emergency document (laissez-passer) with limited validity.
