1 15 March 2017 General elections for the House of Representatives in the Netherlands

On 15 March 2017, the election of the members of the House of Representatives for the Netherlands takes place. All Dutch nationals aged 18 or over may cast their vote for a candidate on the candidate list.To vote for this election from abroad you must register before 1 February 2017.

3 Response Dutch PM Rutte on first results criminal investigation MH17

This morning the families of the victims of the MH17 disaster were briefed by the Joint Investigation Team on the initial findings of the criminal investigation into the downing of flight MH17. These findings concern the weapon used to down flight MH17, the location from which it was fired and the Buk missile system’s route of transport.

4 State Visit to Australia

At the invitation of His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima have paid a state visit to Australia from Monday 31 October to Friday 4 November.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Canberra has appointed Mr Richard Mendelsohn as the new Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for Victoria.

8 Jan Vennik - The Dutchman at Eureka

On Sunday 26 June 2016, a new book entitled 'Jan Vennik: The Dutchman at Eureka' was presented at the Art Gallery of Ballarat. This publication was supported with a Shared Cultural Heritage contribution from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Canberra.
